We’d been using the same homepage design for a few years and were in need of an update as nuuly continued to expand. Over time, we started to feel as though product categories were compartmentalized and modules were outdated — these two things, I believed, were functioning as a roadblock for both prospects and subscribers, preventing them from finding what they were looking for with ease. With the app specifically, the majority of users are subscribers, which meant they already knew what they’d be looking for — we needed to unbury some modules and simplify. We picked our top-performing categories and gave each their own real estate across web and app. These adjustments, along with some additional modular changes, allowed users to see products in a more simplified way. These changes led to an increase in product views and closets across web and app.
